Do I need to purchase a ticket to the event? / ¿Necesito comprar una entrada para el evento?

Compassion Volunteers gain access to the venue, free of charge so you do not need to purchase a ticket to the event in order to get in. However, if you wanted to ensure a seat to the event, we encourage you to purchase a ticket as we cannot guarantee you a seat and/or access inside the main room where the event will be taking place.

Can my child under 14 come with me while I am volunteering?

We love the passion and joy younger children bring in wanting to help children find sponsors, but due to financial accountability and liability, we are not able to allow anyone under the age of 14 years old to volunteer.

When will I receive training? / ¿Cuándo recibiré capacitación?

You will receive a link to volunteer training before your volunteer opportunity. The link will be available after filling out our Volunteer Waiver as well as in our event details email, sent to you via email 5-7 business days before your event. In addition to our short online training, you will also receive in-person training from the Onsite Facilitator once you arrive for your shift. There, the Onsite Facilitator can answer any additional questions you might have about the event as well as clarify anything from the online training.

Do I need to pay for parking? / ¿Tengo que pagar por el estacionamiento?

Parking costs will vary from venue to venue. Most churches and small venues do not have a cost associated with parking. If you are volunteering at a large or urban venue, be prepared to bring money to pay for parking. Typically, parking costs at large venues range from $15-$20, but can also be more expensive in larger cities. We encourage you to visit the venue’s website to find out specific parking information.

While we cannot guarantee you the ability to watch the show or event you are volunteering at, we make every effort to allow you to see portions of the show while you are not performing your volunteer duties.
